Susan Bartley works with sterling silver, fine silver, 14k gold, 18k gold, rose gold and hand selected gemstones. All of her designs are original and start out as a sketch. From there each piece is hand fabricated in one of her two studios. Susan’s designs are incorporated into necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings.  Her designs are strongly influenced by the natural beauty of the beaches along the East Coast as well as the Caribbean.

Susan has been involved in the arts since childhood starting with oil painting but found her real interest was expressing her creativity by working with precious metals. She combines her classroom and workshop experience with self taught techniques to create each piece. Susan introduces a new design each year and some pieces may be retired. However, the mermaid remains as her signature piece.

Her jewelry has been in several wearable arts shows and is sold in galleries.  She participates in juried fine arts and crafts shows on the East Coast. Some of her pieces have found their home as far away as Africa and Japan.
